On Friday, March 3, 2006, after 30 continous days of protesting, the Women of HYATT HOUSEKEEPERS UNITED FOR OUR RIGHTS called together a second community march against the "30 Room Program." Our slogan that day was "30 DAYS AGAINST THE 30 ROOMS!"

Along side the majority of the department - OVER 350 PEOPLE FROM THE COMMUNITY came to protest!

San Diego will not put aside the struggle of HYATT HOUSEKEEPERS UNITED FOR OUR RIGHTS.

During the sruggle Hyatt management tried to pressure and intimidate us.

During those weeks these are some of the tactics they used:

• Constantly taken pictures and video of us.
• They have verbally threatened to fire all of us.
• They called the police on us several times.
• One corporate manager used abusive, disrespectful and sexist language against one of our Compañeras.
• At least two Women from Hyatt Housekeepers United for Our Rights were given "warnings" directly related to the protests.
• HYATT MANAGERS SAID: "If you think that a handful of housekeepers can change Hyatt corporate policy, you are mistaken."
